Embrace Animal Print

Animal print clothes and accessories can create a glamorous look when worn correctly. The key is to find out how to wear it properly and what to wear it with.

One of the main ways to pull this look off is to avoid overdoing it. For the perfect balance, mix and match animal print with solid, basic colours only. Black works very well and can be used to effectively create a classic look. Dark denim and white work well with animal prints too.

For a classic style that incorporates some wild prints, try wearing a leopard print coat with a simple black dress underneath. Keep accessories simple to avoid overpowering the rest of the outfit and add a slick of red lipstick to perfect this look.

As a general rule, wear minimal accessories with animal prints. The print itself is the centrepiece of the outfit so avoid wearing anything else that detracts from it.

Wearing animal prints in classic, conservative lines helps you to keep the overall look elegant. A tasteful dress, simple blouse or a knee-length pencil skirt can look very chic.

Remember animal print isn’t always brown and khaki and you can choose from pretty, feminine pastels, bright, bold colours and even metallics. For a punkish look, team animal print with bright colours such as hot pink or lime green.

Faux fur has superseded the real deal and designers are taking note, meaning you have plenty of fake animal prints to choose from.

Animal print can look great on anyone and you can make it as unique, glamorous or understated as you like. When choosing how to wear animal print, regardless which one you choose, just remember to keep the look true to yourself.
